Objective: Installation & commissioning of 2 x 7.5/15MVA, 33/11.5kV transformers

Scope of Work

  • Design, manufacture and testing of 1 x 7.5/15MVA, 33/11.5kV,  power transformer.
  • This unit was the first of it’s kind designed and manufactured by Winder Power with the new vacuum VBO tapchanger.
  • The tanks designs caters for all variances of  terminations (cable box or bushings/turrets). The same tank can be used for compact radiators or separate cooler bank designs. The marshalling kiosk is standardised so that one size covers all options.
  • Full in-house routine,  lighting impulse, noise, temperature rise, partial discharge & SFRA testing.
  • Delivery using a semi-low loader then off-loading via hydraulic jacking and skating with a single-directional skid.
  • Full commissioning works as per the customers specification which includes; insulation resistance of each winding, core & secondary circuits, transformer ratio check, vector group check by 3 phase low voltage energization of transformer, checks on all CTs & VTs for insulation resistance, ratio & magnetization curves, SFRA, operation of tapchanger through range & operation of limit switches, operation of protection equipment, oil sampling for routine, water & dissolve gas analysis.
